Midsumma and Pride season begins in Melbourne and victoria

So...it is Midsumma Carnival tomorrow here in Melbourne. It will be a perfect 25C/77F sunny and a cool breeze.

I'll be dividing time between the Victorian Gay & Lesbian Rights Lobby stall (which Bisexual Alliance Victoria is sharing) 2 rows from Yarra River and the Seahorse Victoria stall being shared by TransGender Victoria and other trans/gender diverse groups (closer to Alexandra Avenue) with breaks to wander...and eat...and chat...and stuff. Drop by, call or SMS. :)

I am grateful I live in a city and a country where I and up to 100,000 GLBTI and allied people can celebrate our diversity with fun, laughter  and in relative safety. I ask people to take a moment tomorrow, during Midsumma for the next 3 weeks until Pride March Victoria as you enjoy the good times to channel a bit of that good karma to to GLBTI people in Russia, Uganda and too many other places who do not enjoy these freedoms.

Let the Carnival begin!
